Under the direct supervision of the Office Team Leader, the Commercial Lines Associate’s main responsibility is to provide quality customer service assistance to retail agents, Marketing Reps and assigned underwriters as needed and necessary in a timely, efficient, friendly and accurate manner to include a timely turn around time on all processing duties.

How You Will Contribute

  • Review and process all new business applications (upon approval by the UW) for completed information and request additional information required for properly completing and documenting the file within 30 days.
  • “Scrub” every new business submission received following the process in place for this.
  • Review and process all endorsement requests within 48 hours.
  • Review cancellations and process within 48 hours.
  • Follow up on all required outstanding information and documentation as requested.
  • Process all emails and faxes received within 48 hours and set up diary notes to follow up as needed.  This includes applications, endorsements, cancellation requests, requested information and attach to policy. 
  • Process return mail (invoices) within 10 days and send other return mail to Agents on a monthly basis.
  • Provide quality customer service to the retail agents regarding company information and all UW related customer service inquiries, including but not limited to, mortgagee calls, cancellation calls, follow up on apps and photos, assistance with navigating our on-line quoting system, payments and reinstatements.
  • Review photos/inspections from Reliable Reports and request additional information or repairs from the retail agent as outlined in the inspection report. Close policy using the provided checklist.

Skills & Experience to Be Successful

  • High school or higher education level with preferred insurance experience or the ability to obtain a P&C insurance license in Texas.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to advance to Underwriter position based upon performance, availability, eligibility and interview by Management.

Preferred

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a business or financial related discipline
  • Bilingual
