Supervisory Responsibilities: 



  • None 


 


Duties/Responsibilities: 



  • Financial Planning & Analysis  





    • Assist in preparing analysis and presentations for quarterly forecasts and annual budgets to communicate to senior executives and the Board of Directors the financial results and outlook of the company. 







    • Preparation of Board presentations and Earnings Call materials.  







    • Maintain assigned models monthly to ensure accuracy and consistency.  







    • Prepare, validate, and summarize various key reporting metrics for use by various HEP teams.  







    • Assist with enhancing the finance department’s ability to utilize financial systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.  





  • Treasury  





    • Provide management with funding and liquidity analysis and recommendations regarding the strategy around long-term financial stability and capital for growth projects.  







    • Support financing initiatives central to HEP’s growth, including equity and debt transactions, joint venture capital raises, and M&A.  







    • Support with HEP’s (and its JVs) various credit agreements.  





  • Ad Hoc Projects  





    • Support corporate and business development teams on M&A and business development projects, as needed.  







    • Utilize critical thinking to develop and communicate ad hoc financial and business analysis.  




                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      


Required Skills/Abilities:  



  • Advanced Excel skills and strong PowerPoint skills. 



  • Strong attention to detail.  



  • Strong ownership of deliverables.  



  • Ability to work on multiple projects while delivering on deadlines.  



  • Advanced ability to build & dissect existing models.  



  • Intermediate familiarity with Planning/Data Analytics/Consolidation software. 



  • Intermediate understanding of lines of businesses and industry, general knowledge of upstream/midstream/downstream and willingness to follow industry news. 



  • Basic knowledge of macroeconomics. 


 


 


Education and Experience: 



  • Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, or economics. 



  • Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or economics is a plus. 



  • CPA or CFA certification is a plus. 



  • 5+ years of finance work experience, a plus if at a top energy company or financial institution. 



  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. 



  • Must be able to manage multiple project streams at the same time and meet time sensitive deadlines. 



  • Must have advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. 


 


Certifications: 


Working to earn CPA or CFA certification is a plus. 


 


Travel: 


Travel required locally or long-distance up to 10% of the time for work-related meetings and functions. 


 


Equipment: 


Computer, computer software programs and peripherals, resource materials and equipment, copier, fax, and other equipment applicable to the position.   


 


Mental and Physical Demands: 


General office and sedentary. Regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing; occasional: lifting/carrying, pulling/pushing up to 30 pounds.  


 


Maintain emotional control under stress, work with interruptions and deadlines. 


 


May work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. 


 


Environmental Factors:   


Occasional exposure to biological hazards (communicable diseases, bacteria, insects, mold, fungi, etc.). Occasional exposure to weather related conditions when working in an outdoor environment.
